Uniting minds and visions: The CERTAINTY inaugural meeting in Leipzig
The CERTAINTY project's kick-off meeting took place on 12-13 March 2024 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology (IZI) in Leipzig. Adopting a hybrid format, the event welcomed 50 attendees on-site while an additional 32 participants joined online, marking a significant milestone in the project's journey. Highlighting the event's significance, two representatives from the European Commission joined the meeting with remotely, delivering insightful presentations that underscored the EU's support and expectations for the project.
During the meeting, the comprehensive structure of CERTAINTY was unveiled through presentations on all seven work packages. The event also introduced the scientific advisory board, with some members participating and contributing to the discussions. The second day included two breakout sessions, encouraging in-depth dialogue and collaboration among participants.
This successful kick-off sets a solid foundation for CERTAINTY's mission to advance cellular immunotherapy, highlighting the project's importance within the EU's healthcare innovation landscape.
